Cuckoo Cleaves

Some caves are really worth going down, as they will always yield a good trip. These caves have running water, tight squeezes and intricate route finding. Cuckoo Cleaves is not in this league so why have I been down it so often? The guidebook claims that there is a pool hidden down a tight passage that offers some exclusive swimming. I have never found it and realistically I am not that thin either so the chances of ever getting there are fairly remote. The cave its self is reasonable featureless. A drop into a rift passage that wanders down into some smaller passageways which gets too tight to pass. There are a few odds and sods of to the side but nothing remarkable. No formations, running water or difficulties of any sort. It's just that whenever I have descended it I have always been in good company that has given the cave a happy air. It is a bit like rummaging in an attic. Most things are familiar but one day you might uncover something remarkable. Whatever happens it is a fun way to pass a day.
